Dressed For Success – page 99

In terms of the actual story, page numbers are meaningless. But holy crap, it's page 99! This is the longest DFS story we've ever done. Well, I guess it could be argued that as DFS was an ongoing story in the early days, all those early issues were one big long story, but let's be fair, they were a series of short connected stories. Maybe the second half, from 14 - 25 could be taken as one longer story about Alex and Walter trying to come to grips with what they have been through and move on from there, but it was made up of smaller sections. The Mississauga Jay story is a single contained story. And it's about to hit 100. I'm a bit chuffed. In other news, we've had lots of new people visiting the site lately, Hello New People! Glad you could drop by. Remember to come back every Wednesday. Tell your friends. Follow us on RSS, Twitter or Facebook. It's been a rocky couple of months behind the scenes, but we're plowing ahead. We're actually working on the next two DFS stories so there's plenty more to come. And don't forget about those earlier adventures. Slide over to Dressed For Success Retro for Alex and Walter's original adventures. We're on issue 5 already.

  1. I’m still waiting for an appearance by Dr. B. Banzai.

And if you ask who that is I will be very disappointed in you both.

  2. No current plans, but never say never my little buckaroo.

  3. I know the movie reference. Although I must admit to not having ever seen it. *hangs head in shame*

Perhaps this is the perfect excuse for watching it and see how we might incorporate elements into the DFS universe in the future.

  4. It’s got Lithgow and Goldblum. What’s not to like. At the least, there are some great fashion points to look at.

  5. Don’t forget Christopher Lloyd.

It’s got everyone in it before they were someone.

And Lithgow chews up the scenery like a woodchipper, it’s glorious.

“Sealed with a curse sharp as a knife, doomed is your soul and damned is your life”

  6. Huh, I’d forgotten Lloyd, although his name was buzzing in my head when I replied, so maybe my subconscious knew. Bottom line I think is that when Jeff and I are next together, it’s on the viewing menu.

  7. And we can’t leave out Robocop himself, none other than Peter Weller.

  8. HA! Guess what showed up in Netflix when I looked tonight! I’m Gonna Git You Sucka!

And some movie about Kamikazee Cowboys.

  9. Remember, no matter where you go… there you are.
