Initially started on a lark one summer break at the end of high school, Dressed for Success went on to become an ongoing series of self-published mini-comics. They were printed at local print shops and sold at comic conventions and for consignment at a few local comic shops. The Dirty Baker’s Dozen is a collection of the first 13 issues of the series which were a string of single issues that over time developed into a longer ongoing story featuring the exploits of the characters Alex Corbett and Walter Andrewkowski and their adventures around the galaxy.
This story arc was collected into a printed trade paperback in February 1995.

OK, I am (outside of this comment) starting the second “book,” but I decided to come back here and say this. I own the trade paperback published in 1995. My “comic book” collection (as in, actual pamphlet objects d’art that I keep bagged and boxed) is in disarray, but I believe I also own all the minicomics, and have owned most of the one I own before the paperback was published. I’ve been here before.
But – not least because of the disarray – I am rereading the whole thing from the beginning, here. I am just into the second book, and I saw … well, I don’t want to do spoilers, let’s just say something outrageous that I had forgotten, and just as I was questioning my own sanity I discovered the notes. Oh good. Commentary.
I came back to see how much of it I missed.
For the rest of you, and especially anybody new here: Sit down. Strap in. Let these guys take you for a ride …
