Dressed For Success page 71

And there we go, Celeste is our bright star, solving the mystery. But what mystery, what did she see? What did Irwin find? And how far is their host gonna flip out? More next Wednesday as always. How is everybody with the static stuff? And the darkened room? And, while it might not be an opportunity for anyone outside the Toronto area, Jeff and I are doing our first appearance of the year tomorrow night. We'll be doing sketches as a part of the re-launch of the TDotComics website. Details are here, if you do make it out, we'd love to chat.

  1. whats it? This is why i don’t like being caught up & can’t bear the suspense!
Also I am super excited For the TdotComics Party it is going to be ballin’

  2. Wow! I just found your site from a link from “Hero Happy Hour”, and after having lived without any new DFS for so many years I am so glad to have it back. I still re-read my proud signed copy of the Dirty Bakers Dozen about once a year (and the catch up packs), and I can’t wait for the next book! Glad to have the boys back!

    1. Well Mike, I can say for both of us, a huge WELCOME BACK! One of the greatest joys in beginning to tell new DFS stories has been reconnecting with fans of the old small press stuff. We’ve even been close to tears meeting people who have gone on to create their own comics.
I’m glad you found us, tell your friends! And I hope you are enjoying the new story. There’s some little nods towards the old stories, but what comes next, you’ll really like.

  3. gadzooks i must know what IT is must not bite nails in aganzing anticipation

  4. Well, IT is in the name of the story. IT is in the grainy images they’ve been watching.

They know IT exists, or existed, but what they don’t know is what Irwin and now Celeste has figured out. It’s not the WHAT that’s the mystery.

And page 70 is where the answer is.

  5. Yeah, I can see it, an army of the homeless armed with box cutters and giant weaponized mutant attack rats storming the armored environs of sedate suburbia to steal their hazelnut flavored non-dairy creamer and empty ice-cube trays!

  6. Um, Marrock, this isn’t Family Circus you are commenting on.

  7. the shrine asteroid? argh the suspense is killing me and now i am gonna be studying page 70 for a whole week curse ya gods of confusion CURSES I SAY

  8. Well yes, Mister J, The Shrine Asteroid. But it’s lost, it’s a legend. No one knows where it is.

  9. Well now, considering what it being hinted at in the strip, I wouldn’t say no one…

  10. woot i get a cookie ^^

  11. Re-reading this, I noticed a mistake in panel 4, where Celeste says, “It was too small small before.” You might want to fix that for the trade paperback edition. Great work, though!

  12. Thanks for pointing that out Patrick. I remember making a note to correct that before posting the page but I obviously forgot. 🙂 We can easily correct it here on the site as opposed to waiting until the trade version. No one will even know that it was there.

Of course there will be this thread of conversation as evidence. D’oh!

  13. I don’t know what either of you are talking about…
