Ah, another old face. Gungaii is another Bounty Hunter introduced along side Bonne Fete and others back in the early mini-comics stories. He's a parody of a parody of a spinoff. Nobody sue us.
Gotta say, of the 134 pages I've coloured so far, I think this has the most noodling, shading and modelling of all. Maybe the Mississauga Jay title page had more. But overall I'm pretty happy.
We will see more of Gungaii's wisdom next week.
See, when we were scripting we dug back and couldn’t find any reference to the location of Eddy’s palace. But we both had a sense that it might have been on Arakas. But we assumed that was false and came up with Esker. Just as I was finishing up last weeks page I was also posting the first page from Issue 13 of the old comics and there it was, The Tenderizer calling Eddy on Arakas.
Jeff had just tried his hand at creating a font from from hand lettering but wasn’t yet ready to start using it. He had sent me the font and I quickly went in and made the change. I felt really clever! So of course I completely miss it on the next page.
Thanks to the wonder of digital, I’ll be fixing that boo-boo and anyone reading this exchange is going to wonder what we’re talking about. Stealth edit FTW!
