In praise of anonymity

I think this piece says so much about who Alex became. That avoiding trouble with a quick tongue has served him well.

As for me, I still don't take compliments well. It makes me want to hide in the cupboards at the back of the classroom. I like doing a good job, but I'd prefer you not stand me up in front of the class and make a big deal out of it.
