Sometimes a line of dialogue can go through a bunch of versions. The taunts Alex and Walter shout at the Cove Creep are one of those situations. We knew the KIND of thing we wanted them to say, but we threw a lot of variations at the page. Trying to be taunting, insulting, funny and yet keep it relatively PG can be tricky.

There was a placeholder for Alex's line at first that was taken from a scene from the movie Fletch with a guard dog where Fletch distracts a guard dog by saying "Look, defenseless babies!" It was the right concept, but not exactly appropriate.

The usage of the buoy line as a tripwire seemed like a very Scooby Doo move for catching the Creep.
