Phillip and The Tenderizer explore the bluffs, approaching the local comms relay tower and its adjacent office.

PHILLIP:

The locals complained about troubles with their comms lately, do you remember?TENDERIZER:I have an accurate record of the proceedings.

Panel 2:

PHILLIP:

Quite.

Phillip waves the 3D-VV about.

SFX:

bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Panel 3:

Phillip examines the 3D-VV

PHILLIP:

AHHHHHAHHH!

There’s a second wavelength alongside the normal signal.

Don’t you find that odd?

Panel 4:

TENDERIZER:

I am not calibrated for such observations.PHILLIP:

But you make up for it with your charming personality.

Panel 5:

PHILLIP:

I think we’re going to need a closer look.

I sometimes wonder if they had as much fun on Terminator 2 writing Arnold’s character as a hero and slightly funny as we are having with Fred here. Philip might seem terse, but they really do have a rapport. And, in his defence, you can’t expect a deep, meaningful conversation with a robot killing machine designated The Tenderizer. It’s right there on the tin.

And we again see Philip using the 3DVV. Gotta love a generic, do-it-all device as a plot tool. Thanks, Doctor Who!
