INTERIOR - LUCUS’ DINER - DAY(DUSK)

*Throughout the following discussion Alex and Walter can be seen sitting down at a table, flagging down the waitstaff and ordering some food.

*Philip can be seen standing in various places in the background

Panel 1:

As our group enters the diner, they see small tables with chairs and a counter with stools. Pass through to the kitchen. The back counter has coffee equipment, a sink etc. Glass domes with pie or donuts. Ah, hell, just put Agent Cooper on a stool.

HEATHER (her back to the door) is holding court, standing in the middle, sharing her story. Others face her, from tables, stools or the counter, pass through.

HEATHER:

It was horrible! Two giant glowing eyes! Covered in tentacles!

It came at me out of the lake. I screamed and ran.

Panel 2:

HEATHER: And even worse, I dropped my phone!

FRANK:Sorry to hear that Heather. Phones can be expensive for some.

Panel 3:

Alex and Walter, in the background, sit down at an empty table.

MAYOR - TAYLOR:

There’s no monster living on the beach, don’t be ridiculous.

It was likely just some seaweed on the rocks.

Panel 4:

Philip and Fred can be seen somewhere standing together elsewhere in the background.

NICOLE:

It can’t be seaweed, seaweed is salt water.

And the lakebed isn’t right for growing aquatic plants.

MAYOR - TAYLOR:

And now you’re an expert on marine biology Nicole!?
