We begin the story with a cold open. It's a media term where the story starts even before the opening credits and show's theme music play. It's a little hook to get you into the story. The original Doctor Who didn't do them, but since the 2005 relaunch they have. As does another show we're playing off. If you haven't figured that out yet, we're sure you will soon.
Here we meet a new character and get a tease of the adventure and mystery to come.
